Your business can offer U.S. DOL registered apprenticeship training sponsored by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) to develop Line Cooks, Kitchen Managers, and Restaurant Managers. Registered apprenticeships enable your current employees and new hires to become future stars in your restaurant. The Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association Educational Foundation (PRLAEF) is working in partnership with the NRAEF to support Pennsylvania businesses to recruit and retain workers through registered apprenticeship.

This information session will provide an overview of the NRAEF Registered Apprenticeship training programs available to employers throughout Pennsylvania. We will also share how the NRAEF and PRLAEF are connecting employers who adopt apprenticeship to pre-apprenticeship training candidates in high schools and community-based culinary training program.

The NRAEF approves and supports Pennsylvania employers to implement its nationally accredited training programs. As a partner, your business receives:

•  Expert-guided tools and resources to help lead your employees to a fulfilling career

•  Up to $1,000 per apprentice to cover related training expenses

•  An additional $250 for each apprentice registered by businesses between September 1 – December 31, 2023
